So I, Jenn, was given an amazing gift recently...$800 to buy my own camera for our DTS. Well wanting to make a financially wise decision I have been researching for weeks what would be the best option. It's just not a simple solution...Gary already has a Nikon with two nice Nikkor lenses and he loves the Nikon interface so doesn't plan to switch to Canon in the future. So do I get a Nikon or a Canon. Our instructors at school mainly use Canon and recommend them however we are already somewhat of a Nikon family. I have read reviews, asked everyone their opinion, looked for the best prices, priced out canon lenses vs. nikon lenses...etc. So after weeks of this I spent until 2 in the morning online trying to decided and found myself no closer to making a decision. Who knew buying a camera could be so stressful??? I personally was looking forward to looking for a camera as I personally haven't owned one in many years. Crazy for a woman about to join a photography school. :-) Anyway....this morning my brother Matt who is currently staying with my parents whom we live with found a special on one of the camera's I have been looking at that allowed you to select your lens for a personalized kit. Their prices are incredible and I'm so excited...just waiting for Gary to get home so we can look at it together and makes a decision.
This is just a small example of all the details that go into preparing to leave....it feels at time never ending. I'll let you all know what I end up with!
