Why we are Going! (A Personal Reflection)

As a couple we know in our hearts that God has given us a call to do ministry together. Yet it has been a struggle for us because we both come at it with a different perspective. Instead of marching to the beat of a single drum, we both have our own preconceived rhythm that conflicts with our movement.

When the possibility to be a part of the Photo GenX transpired, our hearts lit up with joy. We both saw this as an opportunity for God to melt our individualism and combine our deep passions into one mission.

With my love for photography and full time ministry and Jenn’s passion for art and issues of injustice, we know that we are embarking into the next stage of our purpose as a married couple.

We see each person in our world as special to God and we believe that their story is worth being told. Especially when they are being exploited and abuse because of gender or race and there aren't enough people to stand up and put a stop to it completely.

God has given us, his people, to be a voice. This is especially true for us living in America. We have the power to make a difference and by choosing to make yourself aware of the issues and do what is right, those without a voice can be heard. Jenn and I have chosen to use our talents and passions to pursue this and if you want to join in the effort, you can.

  1. I came across your blog by typing "photo ywam" into google and so glad your blog randomly popped up. I have a deep passion for photography and missions and hope to one day have a husband who I will be able to share my passion for both with! I don't know you, but your words of excitement for the Lord's work is contagious, even through your blog! God Bless!
